How do we begin the engagement?

We don’t start with sketches; we start with intelligence. Every partnership begins with a Brand Strategy Workshop. We dive deep into your business architecture, user demographics, and market positioning. This discovery phase creates an objective roadmap, ensuring that every creative decision made thereafter is measured against commercial goals rather than subjective preference.

Do we play a role in the creative process?

Your insights are the foundation of the strategy. While we lead the creative execution, the "Strategy and Discovery" phase is highly collaborative. By aligning on the brand’s "attributes" and "promises" early on, we eliminate the guesswork and ensure the final identity is a precise reflection of your business's DNA.

What exactly is a "Brand" in the Clark&Waugh framework?

A brand is more than a visual mark; it is your company’s most valuable intangible asset. It is the sum of the promises you uphold, the personality you project, and the voice with which you speak. How many design options will be presented?

Our process is built on precision, not a "throw-it-at-the-wall" volume approach. Depending on the budget and scope, we typically present 2 to 4 strategically vetted directions. Providing more than four options often leads to "analysis paralysis." Our role is to consult and guide you toward the specific solution that best solves the brief.

How long does a typical brand engagement take?

High-impact branding requires a calculated timeline. Depending on the complexity of the content and the depth of the strategy, projects range from several weeks to several months. We prioritise quality and strategic integrity over speed to ensure long-term brand equity.

What if the initial concepts don’t align with our vision?

Because our creative work is born directly from the agreed-upon Strategy Roadmap, total misalignment is rare. We work in iterative stages, securing your approval on concepts and "mood boards" before moving into high-fidelity design. We ensure you are confident in the direction at every milestone.

How do you handle international or remote clients?

Clark&Waugh is a North London-based agency with a global reach. We have clientele all around Europe and as far as Australia. We utilise high-fidelity video conferencing (Zoom, Teams, Google Meet) to present work and maintain a transparent, trackable communication trail via email. While we are digital-first for efficiency, face-to-face presentations can be arranged upon request for key milestones.

What are your accepted payment terms?

In alignment with professional agency standards, we accept BACS (Bank Transfer) only. Investment structures are typically milestone-based and outlined clearly in your initial proposal.
